This is a choice brilliant uncirculated Eisenhower Silver Dollar dated 1973-S. The coin is mint-sealed inside original cellophane packaging. The original "Department of the Treasury" blue envelope and cardboard inserts are also included.
The Eisenhower or "Ike" dollar was only produced from 1971 to 1978 and is very popular with collectors. Ike dollars that were produced for general circulation were made from copper-nickel alloy and contained no silver. The coin offered here was made specifically for coin collectors and contains 40% pure silver! Silver Ikes were only produced between 1971 and 1974 (packaged in the blue envelope shown here) and again in 1976 as part of a 3-coin Bicentennial Silver Set.
