JUST RELEASED! - 2009 "Year of the Ox" Australian Uncirculated Silver Dollar

The 2009 "Year of the Ox" Silver Dollar is the eleventh coin in the popular Australian Silver Lunar Series. The coin is gem brilliant uncirculated with a gorgeous "reverse-proof" finish. The background is frosted while the images have a mirror finish which is exactly the opposite of U.S. proof coins. Each coin comes in a clear plastic capsule to protect the beautiful finish and contains one ounce 0.999 fine silver.

In an unprecedented move, the Perth Mint decided to finish up their silver lunar coin series by releasing the last three dates simultaneously, the 2008 Year of the Mouse was released on schedule (August of 2007), the 2009 Year of the OX (released 1 year early), and the 2010 Year of the Tiger (released 2 years early)!
