These stunning Prospector 1 Oz. Silver Rounds were the First Edition prospector rounds manufactured by the Provident Mint from 2014 through 2015 only. The obverse (front) features the rugged image of a mid-nineteenth century prospector standing in a rocky valley. Holding a pickaxe and his trusty sluice pan, a faithful mule stands by his side. Each round is inscribed with the word PROSPECTOR. The reverse features a sextant — a navigation tool used to measure angular distances and altitudes — along with a compass, both placed atop a map on a wooden surface. The rustic design includes the inscription ONE TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER.

No one, anywhere can match this medallion! • Mine arrived today and it is stunningly beautiful! There is a great deal of very fine detail work on this round. Especially on its reverse side! It makes a great companion for my Englehard, "The American Prospector," silver round.
• I have one of these in my pocket and am showing it to friends, family and coworkers. This is an absolutely beautiful silver round. In fact, I don't think any government could mint a nicer coin. The detail is fabulous; you can see the wrinkles in the miners face! I have already ordered two tubes of these and will certainly be getting more. They would make a nice Christmas present!

Each round will be shipped in a 2x2 non-PVC safety flip unless you buy 20 coins which would come in their original mint tube. The coins also fit into our 39 mm plastic capsules (sold separately in packs of ten holders).
